Replacing saturated fatty acids with monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids in the diet helps maintain normal blood cholesterol levels. In addition, DHA and EPA contribute to normal heart function. Since the consumption recommendation of 2-3 fish portions per week can only rarely be met, it is advisable to supplement the diet with unsaturated fatty acids. The additional vitamin E contained has a positive effect on cell protection and helps protect the cells from oxidative stress.
